Today’s libraries serve more people in more ways than ever before. The changes in librarianship are more than changes in the types of materials offered. Libraries have changed and grown to adapt to the needs of their communities. We've seen this most recently with how libraries have expanded their offering to the public when they need resources the most. According to the ALA State of America’s Libraries Report (April 2010), two-thirds of American public libraries help patrons complete online job applications.
Every day, customers challenge us to help them continue to serve their communities with fewer resources but yet better results. We are inspired by the way libraries have evolved to serve their changing audience.
